Lynn Finnegan

Lynn Finnegan (born Oct. 3, 1970), a member of the Republican Party represents the 32nd Representative District in the Hawaii State House of Representatives of the Hawaii State Legislature. The 32nd House District includes the Lower Pearlridge, Aiea, Halawa, Hickam, Pearl Harbor and Moanalua Gardens area of the island of O'ahu in the state of Hawaii. Finnegan was reelected to her seat in 2006.

In May 2005, Rep. Lynn Finnegan was selected as the new leader of the 10-member House Republican caucus after longtime Minority Leader Galen Fox stepped down upon his conviction for sexual misconduct aboard an airliner.

Finnegan has a poor environmental voting record as evidenced by the Sierra Club's Legislative Scorecard. (see external link below)

During the 2005 legislative session, Finnegan voted against bills that would prohibit Hawaii's landlords and employers from discriminating against gays, lesbians or transsexuals.

Born and educated in Hawaii, Finnegan attended Makaha Elementary School, Waianae High School and the University of Hawaii. Finnegan is married to Honolulu Fire Department Captain Peter Finnegan and has two children.

Finnegan is a mortgage loan officer, Primary Residential Mortgage.
