A new issue facing followers of the Prophet Muhammad is space travel.
One of the five pillars of Islam requires Muslims to pray five set times a day, and to face Mecca while doing so. Astronauts aboard spaceships could have difficulty meeting these requirements since one requirement is to Pray at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset, and night. [1] [2]
