Talk:Energize America Passenger Rail

Our goal is to rewrite this to be the next draft of the Energize America passenger rail proposal. It doesn't necessarily have to focus on high speed rail, but it should be intercity passenger-oriented. Freight and urban rail, while worthwhile, are outside the scope of consideration here except as far as considering their interests also supports passenger rail development.

Aside from the draft 1 text, Senate bill S.294 (110th congress) should be considered as the baseline that we are working from - at least we should support and work with Title III of S.294 and the framework for State Rail planning and federal capital investment support that provides.
