As a start, linking this list of approved tags from the two places you can create/edit tags - diary edit and edit tags - would likely be a huge improvement. I only stumbled over here because of a comment I happened to read.
Shouldn't the list of approved tags just be the list of articles already here, including redirects? - egmod

Updated with 300 of the top tags ommitting most of the incorrect ones and created the alphabetical list on a separate page since it was so long. Did this yesterday, but forgot to add a note here. --SarahLee 18:49, 11 November 2006 (PST)
When can we see a more recent updated list? Today, I stumbled on the tag "Vice President." While not on the approved list, there are more than 90 instances of it and I don't see an equivalent on the list.
