Named after Mt. Zion, Jewish Zionism is the ideology that calls for Jewish self-determination in what is now the State of Israel. It exists in various degrees, some of them openly racist or otherwise poisonous. Some Israelis, other Jews, and Christian Zionists accept the division of Palestine and even Jerusalem in a Two-State Solution to the Palestinian Problem, and some don't. Christian Zionist groups support Israel in the hope of provoking Armageddon in the Middle East, and the Rapture of Christians.
