- January 10: Fifty day general strike in Syria against the French Mandate government organized by the National Bloc, boycott of French companies.
- January 10: Tripartite Coalition wins Cuban Congressional election, winning all 24 Senate seats and 90 of 160 seats in the House of Representatives.
- March 1: Paris agrees to negotiate an end to French Mandate in Syria and the admission of Syria to the League of Nations.
- April: Arab General Strike begins in Palestine.
- April 15: 70 year old Yisrael Hazan killed in an ambush near Tulkarem.
- April 19: In Jaffa, 9 killed and 4 wounded in political violence.
- May 16: Three killed in terrorist shooting at Edison Cinema in Jerusalem.
- July 4: League of Nations votes to end sanctions against Italy. The crisis over Abyssinia (Ethiopia) is over.
