Alliance for Justice

The Alliance for Justice is a national association of environmental, civil rights, mental health, women's, children's and consumer advocacy organizations. Since its inception in 1979, the Alliance has worked to advance the cause of justice for all Americans, strengthen the public interest community's ability to influence public policy, and foster the next generation of advocates.

Judical Advocacy
Through the Judicial Selection Project, the Alliance monitors and investigates judicial nominations at all levels of the federal branch, and encourages public participation in the confirmation process.
Independent Judiciary is another feature of our work in the area of Judicial Advocacy. Alliance for Justice has taken the lead in raising public awareness about the significant impact the federal judiciary has on the country.
Nonprofit Advocacy
A primary mission of the Alliance for Justice is to strengthen the capacity of the public interest community to influence public policy. Nonprofit Advocacy Project assists nonprofit organizations in this area through technical assistance, workshops, and a wealth of tools and information.
Foundation Advocacy
The Foundation Advocacy Initiative was established to increase foundation support to organizations that seek to influence policy and public opinion. The Foundation Advocacy Initiative helps foundations in these efforts through workshops, examples of documents, and technical assistance.
Student Advocacy
Every year on the first Monday in October, the opening of the Supreme Court's session, Student Action Campaign unites student activists on college, university, and law school campuses nationwide to fight for social justice.
Co/Motion is a national program that helps organizations build their capacity to foster youth leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of action strategies addressing community problems. We do this by partnering with organization, to provide training and technical assistance to young adults 15 to 25 in advocacy and organizing skills.
