Betty Sutton

Betty Sutton represents the 13th Congressional District of Ohio, see Ohio U.S. House election, 2006. She was supported by Emily's List. This is the seat that was vacated by Sherrod Brown.

She was born and raised in Barberton, Ohio, attending public schools. She graduated from Kent State University and went onto law school at the University of Akron.

Her first elective office was as a member of the Barberton City Council. She shortly went on to the Summit County Council.

In 1993, she was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives. She retired after eight years, due to term limits.
