The Christian Right consists is a movement of fundamentalist Protestant Christian denominations and lobby groups in the United States which seek to mobilize fundamentalists to support socially conservative Republican candidates. Their primary base is the Bible Belt in the American South stretching from Virginia west to Oklahoma. Pockets of support appear in the Midwest and Utah.
