Darshin Singh

From dKosopedia

Darshin Singh is Singapore's chief executioner. Responsible for some 850 state killings in 46 years, Singh has threatened to bring legal action for wrongful dismissal against the government of Singapore if he is dismissed from his position. In October his identity as the person who would execute Nguyen Tuong Van was revealed in an article published by The Australian.

Singapore's authoritarian one party government has a reputation for official barbarism with respect to non-white collar crime. Sometimes referred to as the "Hangman of Asia," the government of Singapore has executed 66 Singaporeans and 23 foreigners in Changi prison from 2001 to 2005.
