John R. Carter

John R. Carter is a Republican U.S. Representative from the Thirty-first Congressional District 31st District of Texas. First elected to Congress in 2002, Carter had spent the previous 20 years as a District Judge in Texas.
Carter attended Texas Tech University where he graduated with a degree in History and then graduated from the University of Texas Law School in 1969. He and his wife, Erika, have four children. Carter owns more than one million dollars worth of stock in ExxonMobil Corp.
