NBC

From dKosopedia

NBC is the well known acronym for the National Broadcast Corporation, one of the traditional three majors or major broadcast television networks. For a long time, ABC, CBS and PBS were its only competitors. The advent of cable television changed that. Fox, the WB network, UPN, and other cable broadcast networks have entered the marketplace, as has satellite television, along with movie rentals, pay per view, multiplexes, and other developments in the media markets that have left the formally dominant major media networks as just one more player in a larger field.

NBC is generally viewed as part of the Corporate Media and as part of the SCLM. It is owned by General Electric and affiliated with Microsoft and MSNBC, which is also a major internet news provider. NBC programs of interest for political news are NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw and Meet The Press with Tim Russert.
