Talk:Ron Paul
From dKosopedia
The text of the article disappeared though categorization. How often has that happened? --- This page is lacking a lot of controversy about Ron Paul.
He voted against the Darfur Divestment Act (HR 180) which would stop US money from going to companies complicit in the Darfur Genocide. http://www.reasontofreedom.com/hr_180_darfur_accountability_and_divestment_act_by_us_rep_ron_paul.html "No one denies that the humanitarian situation in Darfur is dire, but the United States government has no business entangling itself in this situation, nor in forcing divestment on unwilling parties. Any further divestment action should be undertaken through voluntary means and not by government fiat."
He wants to get rid of the federal government's power to declare ANY local law unconstitutional. fundamentally changing our government. http://reddit.com/info/2yp1a/comments/ "I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn. I have also authored HR 1095, which prevents federal funds to be used for so-called “population control.”

I'd like to the go-ahead to incorporate these 'controversies' into Ron Paul's page, since he's overwhelmingly the #1 Net-Candidate (see his deluging on MSNBC polls, being at the top of Reddit consistantly) and DailyKos should be aware.
- Do it. As long as it's fact based with sources, I think we should be able to protect it from vandals who might want to continue to hide things behind the curtain of the wizard... Chadlupkes 08:34, 19 November 2007 (PST)
