Wayne County, Georgia

Originally part of the territory of the Creeks and named for Revolutionary War Gen. "Mad" Anthony Wayne, Wayne County is a rural county in southeast Georgia. The county seat is Jesup. In 2000 the county had a population of 26,565. Native Americans make up only .23% of its population.
