dKosopedia:Bug reports

From dKosopedia

--phillies 9and hope I prepped the preceding correctly)) This is not exactly a bug, but someone else may see the fix. The Libertarian Presidential candidate is named "Badnarik" not "Badarnik" and editing link and file names is required to fix this.

--Cope 13:18, 20 Oct 2004 (PDT) Can't upload images, I get

Could not copy file "" to "/home/center2/public_html/dkosopedia/images/e/ef/DuPageSampleBallot.jpg".
--Centerfielder 13:29, 20 Oct 2004 (PDT) Hmm. Was working for others recently. Last week's server upgrade may have caused it. When I get some time I'll look at it, but it won't be soon. Thanks for the report.

--Seanr 13:20, 13 Aug 2004 (PDT) Next 20, 20, 40, etc. links at bottom of search results page just link to the first article. Try searching for China and then click Next 20 - you get the article on China instead of the next 20 links.

--Ohwilleke 10:33, 26 Jun 2004 (MDT). I made several entries this morning (environmentalism, modification to hydropower, individualism, e.g.). They all showed up in the recent changes and in the completed changes as I viewed them. Now they are gone. What happened? It looks as if all changes in the past six hours or so have been wiped.

--AaronPeterson 01:52, 26 Jul 2004 (PDT) This MediaWiki version is seriously out of date, (1.2rc4) There is now 1.2.6 , and wikimedia.org is running on 1.3beta4. User:AaronPeterson on meta.wikipedia.org is willing to talk on the phone with server admin, but, has been editing http://meta.wikipedia.org in attempt to make the process of upgrading a mediawiki version a bit easier, so you shouldn't need me...

--Ben 15:02, 5 Jun 2004 (PDT) <h1>s and <h2>s look the same. (at least in mozilla)

--Ben 14:39, 5 Jun 2004 (PDT) it would be really nice to put a url rewriting rule in place so the urls don't have to include the index.php (a la wikipedia). So for example, this page would just be: http://www.dkosopedia.com/Talk:Main_Page --Ben 20:35, 31 May 2004 (PDT)

--SP 12:30, 2 Jun 2004 (PDT) Case affects ability to link to other pages- for example, voting systems leads to a new page while Voting Systems leads to the correct page. I imagine there are or will be duplicate pages because of this.

--Edverb 11:31, 30 May 2004 (PDT) - Main link to the GNU_FDL doesn't work (which appears at the footer of every page, example). Can someone upload the FDL to /wiki/GNU_FDL?

- Upload file doesn't work. I'd imagine this is just a permissions or config issue.

- How's the time zone set? I just realized the timestamp is seven hours ahead of where I am (PST)

--Centerfielder 17:03, 28 Apr 2004 (PDT) check out your preferences in the upper right corner

--Libby 17:53, 29 May 2004 (PDT) Links cannot be checked in preview mode; the page expires thus preventing access to the preview – it’s lost. I know one can "re-edit" the page, yet....

--Centerfielder 12:05, 30 May 2004 (PDT) If you mean you can't follow links in preview mode - that's true. But you can right-click on a link and open it up in a different tab or browser window.

Glibfidget 19:23, 30 May 2004 (PDT) Question, I'm trying to create a brief entry for P.J. O'Rourke (linking out of the Libertarian Party section), but get back an error saying it's a bad page or somesuch, I assume because of the punctuation? Anyway, how do I get around that?

--Jumbo 19:28, 30 May 2004 (PDT) Ah-ha! A question I can answer. It's the apostrophe. It screws things up. Do this: Template:P.J. O Rourke.

--Ohwilleke 18:24, 7 Jun 2004 (MST) Why does this damn think sometimes log you out while you are in an editting window!!!! How can you possibly be logged out if you are in one which you can only get into when you are logged in. Once you save the page if it thinks you are logged out, you lose everything.

--bgod 11:46, 9 Jun 2004 (PDT) Anyone else think the watch list is broken? Either it misses a lot or I am not understanding something.
