Halliburton

Halliburton is an American company focused on energy, construction and defense contracts. US Vice President Dick Cheney was CEO of until his election in 2000.
Halliburton subsidiary KBR was awarded controversial "no-bid" contracts by the US Department of Defense during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, while Dick Cheney was sitting Vice President of the United States. In November 2006, Halliburton spunoff KBR by making it a separate company and listing it on the stock market.
