Cameroon

From dKosopedia

Cameroon is a country in central Africa with a sham democracy, which has managed to avoid civil wars (despite a multi-ethnic, multi-religious population), international wars and violent coups since World War I when French and British troops replaced the German colonial authorities. Its GDP per capita of $1,700 is respectable for the region. Cameroon was the homeland of many slaves brought to the New World. Freedom House discusses the human rights situation here.
