The College of William and Mary, officially known as The College of William and Mary in Virginia is a public liberal arts university. The College, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, was chartered in 1693, and although it was the first college in the New World to recieve a royal charter, it is the second-oldest college in the US (see Harvard University). William and Mary is also home to the Wren Building, the oldest academic building in the US still in continuous use.
William and Mary is the most selective university (based on SAT scores) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
