Curt Weldon

Curt Weldon (R) is a former Congressman from Pennsylvania's 7th district. He was born in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania on July 22, 1947, the youngest of nine children. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from West Chester University in 1969.

First elected to the House in 1986, he was challenged in the 2004 general election by Paul Scoles, who garnered nearly 41% of the vote to Weldon's 58.8%. In 2006 he was defeated by Joseph A. Sestak Jr..

In 2005, He published a book called Countdown to Terror: The Top-Secret Information that Could Prevent the Next Terrorist Attack on America... and How the CIA has Ignored it. In it, he made allegations that Bin Laden had recently spent time in Iran. This was quetioned by the CS Monitor. Link
