Custer Battles LLC
From dKosopedia
Custer Battles LLC is a government contractor based in Rhode Island. It was founded in 2001 by former Army Ranger Scott Custer and former CIA officer Michael Battles. In June 2003, the company was awarded several contracts for security services in Iraq, but it has also attracted many allegations of fraud and misconduct.
In February 2007, the company was exonerated of charges that it had submitted false claims for its work during the Iraq War.[1] This case was filed by attorney Alan Grayson, representing William D. Baldwin, a former manager for Custer Battles, and Robert J. Isakson, a construction subcontractor who had worked with the firm. The case received significant attention throughout the media, and has left many questions regarding contracting in Iraq.
