Dan Boylan

Dan Boylan is a professor of history at the University of Hawaii-West Oahu Campus. He is also one of funniest and smartest humans one can encounter west of Iowa, or maybe Georgia. Boylan holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Hawaii and graduate degrees in English and American Civilization from the Universities of Michigan and Iowa, respectively.
An active observer of Island politics, he currently writes a weekly column for MidWeek.
Boylan has written and published extensively on political subjects in Hawaii over the past 22 years.
He is the co-author of a biography entitled, John A. Burns: The Man and His Times.
