Daniel A. Dodd is a Democratic veteran from Texas ran for Congress in the Third District of Texas, but lost to the incumbent, see Texas U.S. House election, 2006. A West Point graduate with an engineering degree he served two tours during the Vietnam War, Dodd was a career Air Force officer. He is one of the Fighting Dems.
