Diane E. Benson

Diane E. Benson is a lifelong Alaska resident and Democratic candidate for U.S. House. She ran for the At-large seat in Alaska, see Alaska U.S. House election, 2006, but lost to the incumbent. She is a writer and small business owner, and she was a union truck-driver during the construction of the Alaska pipeline. She was inspired to run after her son was critically injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq. She also ran for Governor in 2002.
