Duane Burghard is a Democratic veteran and technology entrepreneur from Missouri. He ran for Congress in the 9th District, but lost to the incumbent, see Missouri U.S. House election, 2006. He is also one of the Fighting Dems.

He served as a Naval officer and went on to found several technology companies. He and his wife Mara live in Columbia with their two young children.
