Earl Adams made news when he demanded $20,000 from Oklahoma City because his sons, aged 14 and 16, discovered "The Whole Lesbian Sex Book" by Felice Newman while (supposedly) searching for books on military academies. The maximum amount that can be paid in damages for obscenity under Arkansas law is $10,000 per victim. The two boys were apparently "greatly disturbed" by their encounter!
