One thing that brought Connie to our attention was that when he was in the Florida House, he founded the Freedom Caucus and helped recruit two dozen representatives who worked together for lower taxes and limited government. These were the hard-charging Reaganite Republicans who found themselves in fights all the time with the Republicans in Name Only (RINOs).
