Gale Norton

Gale Norton is the second Bush adminsitration's Secretary of the Interior.

Gale Norton posed for a photograph with Jack Abramoff in her second encounter with the lobbyist in 2002. The photo also shows an unnamed man, Chief Phillip Martin of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, and the tribe's outside counsel, C. Bryant Rogers. Lobbyist Abramoff extracted large sums as fees and contributions from client Native American tribes. The Department of the Interior Department oversees Indian affairs. Abramoff lobbied Norton for his Native America tribal clients, arranging for them to donate heavily to a faux environmental group that Norton established. Source: Jennifer Talhelm.
