The Honolulu City Council is the legislative body of the City and County of Honolulu and is comprised of nine councilmembers representing nine geographical districts on Oahu. Each member is elected to no more than two four-year terms or four two-year terms, depending on the election schedule of the respective districts. Elections are held every other September and are by law, nonpartisan in nature.The City Council meets throughout the year.
The Office of the City Clerk, Office of Council Services and the semi-autonomous Office of the City Auditor are under the auspices of the City Council.

- District VII (Kalihi, Salt Lake, Foster Village): Tulsi Gabbard Tamayo
- District VIII (Moanalua, Halawa, Pearl City, Waipi‘o): Breene Harimoto
- District IX (Mililani, Waipahu, Makakilo): Nestor Garcia
