Improving allocation of voting machines

From dKosopedia

In the 2004 election in Ohio, a major concern was the fact that members of communities with a large minority population, who contained a high proportion of Democrats, were faced with disproportionately long waits for ballots. One problem was that the allocation of machines to districts was based on the turnout for the primaries, despite the fact that there had been a large surge in Democratic registrations in these districts.

In the transcript of August 14, 2008 meeting before the Franklin County Board of Elections, some of these issues are discussed, with the Board claiming that they have been addressed for the upcoming election.
