Jeff Sessions

Jeff Sessions, in full Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III is the Republican junior U.S. Senator from Alabama, one of the poorest states in the Union. Sessions was first elected to the United States Senate in 1996. He sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee that once turned him down for a Federal judgeship over his racist investigation of alleged voter fraud while a US Attorney. Sessions's great-grandfather named Sessions's grandfather in this manner during Reconstruction to express the essence of Unreconstructed Rebel ideology, honoring Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America, and Gen. Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard of South Carolina, who ordered the state militia to fire on Fort Sumter, thus starting the Civil War/War of Northern Aggression.

Background
Sessions was born in Hybart, Alabama. He graduated from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama and received a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Alabama in 1973. Sessions and his wife, Mary Blackshear Sessions, originally of Gadsden, Alabama, have three children, Mary Abigail Reinhardt, Ruth Sessions Walk, and Sam.
Nationalist Anxiety About Hispanics
On May 15, 2006, Sessions embraced the hysterical conclusions of a Heritage Foundation report that predicted anywhere betwen 103 million and 217 million immigrants would flood the United States if proposed immigration reform were adopted. Sessions claims to espouse Family Values but one of those values isn't that family members should live without fear and live together as families. Responding to Pres. George W. Bush's May 17, 2006 Oval Office speech on immigration, Sessions played to Alabama's xenophobes by sating, We are moving forward on a policy that is pretty thoughtless. The tendency seems to be to move anything through. . . . I think we need to completely redo this."
