Jim Saxton is a Republican Representative from the 3rd district of New Jersey. He entered Congress after a 1984 special election. Saxton is a former teacher. He was a member of the New Jersey state general assembly from 1976-1981, and a member of the New Jersey state senate from 1982-1984.
Saxton does not plan to run again in the 2008 elections.
