Lincoln Davis

Lincoln Davis (D) represents the Fourth District of Tennessee in the U.S. House.
He was first elected Mayor of Byrdstown in 1978, then went on to serve two terms in the Tennessee House of Representatives. In 1996, he was elected to the State Senate but his second term was cut short when elected to represent the 4th District in Congress.
He married his high school sweetheart Lynda, an elementary school teacher, in 1963. Together they raised three children and five grandchildren.
He and his wife live in Pall Mall on property his family purchased from Fentress County native, WWI hero, and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Alvin C. York. They attend First Baptist Church in Byrdstown.
Congressman Davis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Tennessee Technological University. He worked for a time as a soil scientist with the USDA.
