Maili Land Transitional Housing Program
From dKosopedia
Maili Land Transitional Housing Program is managed and operated by Catholic Charities Hawai‘i. It is a 44-unit facility located in Leeward O‘ahu.
The program helps transition homeless families back into a home of their own while teaching life skills and self-sufficiency. There is a 24 month maximum stay.
The Maili Land program is a template to solving Hawai'i's homeless problem. Homeless shelters, by comparison, are much more expensive in the long run and have a poorer record of transitioning the homeless.
