Michael Bennet, (born 1964) was chosen by Governor of Colorado Bill Ritter to represent Colorado in the United States Senate replacing Ken Salazar, who has been appointed as Secretary of the Interior in the Obama Administration. Bennet is the current superintendent of Denver Public Schools.
