Mike Callaghan

Mike Callaghan is a Democratic attorney from West Virginia. He has been a federal prosecutor, and was the head of the West Virgina EPA, where he strictly enforced mine safety regulations. He ran for Congress in the 2nd District, but lost to the incumbent, see West Virginia U.S. House election, 2006.

He favors a quick resolution to the Iraq War, with a detailed withdrawl plan. He also supports a single-payer healthcare system. Mike has been endorsed by the WV Sheriff's Association. He strongly supports gun ownership, and belongs to the National Rifle Association.

Mike has been married for 16 years to Dana Callaghan and they have three children. Mike attends First Presbyterian Church in Charleston, West Virginia.
