Mishonda Baldwin is a Democratic veteran who ran for Maryland's Third Congressional District, but she lost the primary to John P. Sarbanes, see Maryland U.S. House election, 2006. She served as an Intelligence Officer in the Iraq War, and she is one of the Fighting Dems.
Ms. Baldwin is a lawyer, who also has degrees in Divinity and Counseling Psychology. She was one of the first African American woman ROTC Battalion Commanders. She was the first woman elected twice to serve as the chairperson of a national community service organization. In addition, as one of the youngest owners of a national franchise, Ms. Baldwin has a tremendous understanding for small business needs.
