The Presbyterian Church, USA

From dKosopedia

The Presbyterian Church, USA (PCUSA) is a mainline protestant denomination, with 2.4 million members in 11,000 local churches. It is one of two main Presbyterian denominations in the US, and it is generally considered to be more liberal than The Presbyterian Church of America. Please refer to its official website for more information about the church's theology, history and organizational principles.

At the 2006 General Assembly, the church adopted the report of the Theological Task Force on Peace, Unity and Purity of the Church. This report allows local churches to ordain homosexuals as pastors, and it removes the requirement of celibacy for non-married pastors.
