Thomas J. Dodd was a Democratic U.S. Senator from Connecticut from 1958-1970. He previously served in the U.S. House from 1952-1956.

Dodd was the #2 American prosecutor at the Nurenberg war trials. He also served as a assitant to five U.S. Attornies General.

He is the father of Christopher Dodd.
