Biography
Republican Congressman Todd Tiahrt (born June 15, 1951) has, as of 2004, served the fourth district of Kansas since 1995. He previously served in the Kansas state senate, 1993-1995.
Tiahrt attended the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and earned his MBA from Southwest Missouri State University. Prior to the House Of Representatives, Tiahrt worked for Boeing Company.
Criticism
Tiahrt seems to spend much or all of his time attempting to rewrite history for social conservative glory. He is one of the forces behind ongoing attempts to practice "conservative correctness". These decisions involve pressuring the National Parks Service to display giant crosses in their buildings, sell literature claiming God created the Grand Canyon, and Tiahrt's main demand, eliminate any images of gay-rights or abortion-rights rallies from the 5-minute film piece of marches on the National Mall.
