Money Man
- Memberships in the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, Subcommittee on Financial Institutions, Subcommittee on Securities and Investments, and the Senate Budget Committee lead us to believe that Allard understands money. In the 2002 race against Tom Strickland, Wayne collected more than one third of campaign financing from special interest PACs mainly the banking and insurance lobbys.
- Notorious as one of the League of Conservation Voters "Dirty Dozen" he now co-sponsors legislation to regulate the damages awarded to victims in asbestos related claims.

Introduced Legislation
- To gut the Endangered Species Act Allard's attempt to gut the Endangered Species Act not only eliminates conservation measures on tens of millions of acres of critical habitat, it will also be extremely costly. It would require the public to pay developers, the oil and gas industry and other special-interest groups to avoid harming or killing endangered species. This is bad legislation that needs to be defeated.
- Allard tried to abolish the federal minimum wage by amending the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007.
Quotes
- A Quiet Man: Over the course of several weeks in 2002, this candidate repeatedly refused requests by citizens in the candidate's own state, leaders of both major political parties, major news organizations and Project Vote Smart staff to provide voters with essential issue information in the 2002 National Political Awareness Test. This candidate would not provide this information to citizens in the candidate's own state - no matter who asked them, when they were asked or how they were asked.
- On Iraq Exit: "We see Senator Kerry going and being spun in the political winds while the President remains strong, remains forceful," He noted. "He truly is a leader in a very difficult situation in Iraq, and that's why I feel so very committed to supporting the President."
