Winthrop Rockefeller is the Lt. Gov. of Arkansas. As of July 2006, he is suffering from terminal cancer.

Former Republican Governor of Arkansas, 1967-1971, and brother of former New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller. In 1966, defeated six-term incumbent Governor Orval Faubus to become the first Republican elected Governor of Arkansas since Reconstruction. Re-elected, 1968, but lost his 1970 re-election bid to future Senator Dale Bumpers.
