A complex of seven buildings, including the famous twin towers, in downtown New York City.

Buildings 1 and 2 (aka the Twin Towers) collapsed as a direct result of the 9/11 attacks; Building 7 collapsed as a result of fires and structural damage caused by the collapse of the North Tower (WTC1). The other buildings of the complex did not collapse, but were damaged beyond repair.

There is a slight amount controversy about the reason for the collapse of Building 7, with some arguing that its collapse was it the result of a controlled demolition, rather than the incidental damage caused by the collapse of WTC1. dKos diarist curtadams has assembled evidence debunking the more prevalent conspiracy theories here.
