Alexander Litvinenko

Alexander Litvinenko was a Soviet KGB and Russian FSB agent for 18 years turned critic of critic of the government of Russian President Vladimir Putin who was killed by poisoning with polonium 210, probably on November 1, 2006 at a sushi restaurant. He died at age 43 on November23, 2006, 10 days after admission to Barnet Hospital in north London.
Litvinenko was investigating the October 7, 2006 murder of Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya in Moscow.
