Bill Gluba

Bill Gluba is a Democrat from Davenport, Iowa, where he works as a real estate agent. His political history includes one term as a State Representative and two terms as a State Senator. He was elected to the Scott County Board of Supervisors where he served as Chair. Bill was a UAW member, and put himself through college by working at a tractor factory. He graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1964, and got an M.A. at the University of Iowa in 1978.

In 2004, he was the Democratic nominee for the first district, and ran for the nomination again in 2006, see Iowa Federal elections, 2006. He lost the primary to Bruce Braley.

Bill was born in Davenport, Iowa on October 7, 1942. Bill married Trish Keefe in 1965. The Gluba’s have five grown children and two grandchildren.
