Background
Center for the Study of Popular Culture funded by Richard Mellon Scaife is a "think-tank" which focuses focuses on "political correctness" and publishes a newsletter, Heterodoxy, full of mean-spirited rant about blacks, feminists, and homosexuals. It is headed by David Horowitz, a lapsed leftist and former speechwriter for former Senator and Presidential candidate Bob Dole, and his Co-chair Peter Collier who also heads the interrelated liberal-bashing organization, the Committee on Media Integrity (COMINT).
