Jennifer Brunner

Jennifer Brunner is the Democratic Secretary of State for Ohio. She was first elected to this position in 2006, replacing Ken Blackwell (R).
Brunner is a former Franklin County, OH Judge. Before being elected to the bench, she served as Legislative Counsel of the Ohio Secretary of State's Office. She is a former member of the Franklin County Board of Elections and has over thirteen years of experience in election law representing citizen groups, labor unions, and candidates for state offices.
She and her husband, Rick, have three adult children and live in Columbus.
After many reports of voting irregularities in the 2000 and 2004 elections, she studied Ohio's voting systems, and found that every system had critical flaws and was vulnerable to tampering.
