Nick Berg was beheaded by individuals claiming to be Islamic fundamentalists. Video of this beheading was broadcast worldwide. Numerous questions surround the story, including what involvement there was by the U.S., the true identity of the individuals who killed him and their true motives, and whether his purported reasons for being in Iraq (business) were accurate, given unusual elements of the story such as the fact that he had an Israeli stamp in his passport (something experienced travelers in the region usually arrange to avoid having).
