Noah Lemas

From dKosopedia

Noah Lemas is the only remaining candidate for Congress from Oregon's Second District in the state's Democratic primary. His original opponent, Sabrina Shrake, was disqualified by the Oregon Secretary of State as not meeting the constitutional age requirement to serve.

Lemas, a 38-year-old self-described entrepeneur, is a newcomer to Oregon politics and was virtually unknown in the state's party circles before unexpectedly filing his candidacy with the Secretary of State's office on the deadline, March 11, 2008. The seat he seeks is currently held by Republican incumbent Greg Walden.

According to his campaign, Lemas is running on a platform of lessening dependence on foreign oil by developing practical and alternative energy sources, developing realistic state and nationwide healthcare programs, returning vital funds to public education, and changing Washington, D.C.'s special interest orientation.

His resume' lists a B.A. from University of California Santa Barbara, an M.B.A. from Portland State University's Graduate School of Business, additional study in international finance at Euromed Marseille Ecole de Management, and membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, an international academic honor society in the field of business and finance. His business career included founding, developing and ultimately selling two successful businesses.

Lemas and his wife, Rachel, live in Bend, Oregon with their two children.
