Transparency

From dKosopedia

Transparency is a buzz word in international affairs circles which means governments and businesses conducting their affairs in a manner where there is public disclosure and the formal law and rules that apply to situations reflect the reality on the ground. In contrast, in situations were transparancy is lacking, corruptions, personal connections and politics often dominant government decision making, decisions are made in secret and without public input, and Crony Capitalism is the rule. The term is not limited to government an can be applied, for instance to the media to describe situations where programing is influenced by business considerations rather than a desire to simply provide the news and entertainment to the public.
