Mission
According to the House website, the House Science Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics "handles issues related to aviation and the U.S. space program. The Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee oversees civilian and commercial space and aeronautical R&D, including civil aviation. This includes NASA, commercial space activities within the Department of Transportation and the Department of Commerce, and the aviation R&D activities of the FAA."
